Welcome to the neighborhood! Are you new to Grant PUD and moving into a residence that already has electrical infrastructure installed? We’ll need some basic information to get you started.

Moving? Please contact us at least two days in advance to let us know what day you are moving so you are no longer charged for electricity use after that date. We’ll make the arrangement to close your account and forward your closing bill to your new address.

Transfer Service

Looking to transfer service to another location? You can easily move your electrical service from one location to another within Grant County. Please contact us at least two days in advance.

New Construction

Looking to establish new electrical service to a residential, subdivision, commercial, or agricultural construction project?

You'll need:

  • Name to have on the account
  • Service address
  • Main telephone number
  • Alternate telephone number
  • Name of spouse or roommate
  • Mailing address (if different from service address)
  • Effective date (date service should begin)

Fees and Deposits

  • A $15 start-up fee will be added to your first bill.
  • A deposit may be required, depending on your credit history.
  • Residential service deposits are typically $150.
  • Your service will be connected within two business days of your request.
  • Need a new service connected after normal business hours? We can do that. A $250 after-hours charge will be added to your account.

From your current account:

  • Account number
  • Service address
  • Effective date (date service should be turned off)
  • Address to send final bill
  • Name and phone number of current landlord

For your new account:

  • Name to have on the account
  • Service address
  • Main telephone number
  • Alternate telephone number
  • Name of spouse or roommate
  • Mailing address (if different from service address)
  • Effective date (date service should begin)
