Share the Light, formerly known as “Share the Warmth,” is a Grant PUD customer-funded account that makes it easy for customers to help qualifying customers-in-need pay their electric bills. Learn more, below, about how you can help – or receive help – in keeping the lights on.

Neighborhood Partners

As a Grant PUD customer, you can give anytime. Simply write in an amount on your monthly bill and add it to your payment.

For those that pay their bill online, look for the donation feature when you pay. Go to payment portal.

Call 509-766-2505 to make a donation over the phone.

Donors of more than $10 will receive a a year-end giving statement.

Community Business Partners

Share the Light is an excellent program for Grant PUD’s business customers wishing to maximize their community-generosity dollars. Every dollar donated to Share the Light goes to help pay the power bills of residential customers in times of financial hardship (Grant PUD covers the overhead for the program).

You can simply donate when paying your Grant PUD bill or call our call 509-766-2505 to make a Share the Light payment or contact publicaffairs@gcpud.org if you would like to make special arrangements.

Eligibility to receive Share the Light funding is income-qualified. If you feel you may qualify, please call 509-766-2505 to speak with a Customer Service Representative and learn more.

How to Apply
Please bring your photo ID along with the required documentation to one of our local offices. Qualifying customers must have a past due balance and be a Rate 1 Residential account, in addition to meeting the income criteria. You can speak with a Customer Service Representative with any questions at 509-766-2505, 7 days a week, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Who will I be helping?
Those in need of our help are your neighbors in Grant County – often elderly folks on fixed incomes, single-income families trying to make ends meet or just people who find themselves in difficult situations where they are not able to pay their electric bills.
