Apprenticeship Program

Start Here. Grow Here. Succeed Here.

An apprenticeship program trains you to become skilled in a trade or profession. Apprenticeship training typically combines classroom learning with hands-on work. In addition, an apprentice is required to attend related supplemental instruction to aid in the on-the-job work experience.

What is an Apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is an opportunity to earn while you learn through a structured and systematic program with supervised on-the-job training.

Is an apprenticeship right for you?

Hands-on work
The purpose of an apprenticeship is to impart an apprentice the knowledge and skills to become a quality and competent journeyperson in a specific occupation. The ability to get paid while you grow, develop, and hone your craft is a rewarding experience.

Get paid while you learn

As an apprentice you will be paid a competitive wage with regularly scheduled step progressions based on job performance and hours served.  These step progressions come with incremental wage increases as you, the apprentice, learn new skills and experience which will lead to new challenges and learning opportunities.

Earn a certification

Once you have completed the term of your apprenticeship and met all the requirements consistent with your apprenticeship program, you will be recognized by Washington State Labor and Industries, Grant PUD and the IBEW 77 as a journey-level worker within your craft.
