Guidance on transportation of workstation office chair to home office
Employees can pick up or receive curb side drop off their workstation office chair.
Employees will need to provide the following information in their request (submitted via email to Jessica Ziegler):
- Their current office location
- If option 1 or 1a is chosen, request a pick-up date/time (between 9-11 am) out front of the location or if option 2, is chosen a home address will need to be given to the coordinator along with a request for date/time. The time and date will be set based on availability of resources.
- Employees with previous ADA claims will be given top priority.
The process is outlined below:
Option 1: Schedule through Jessica, the pickup of your chair from district facility (excluding WD & PRD). This will require coordination with Facilities personal and Jessica Ziegler entering the service request. Facilities will meet you out front of your work location from 9:00 – 11:00 am Wednesday – Friday of this week and help you load the chair in the back of your vehicle. Once you arrive home, please use caution lifting your chair due to its awkward nature and somewhat heavy properties.
Option 1a: Schedule through Jessica, the pickup of your chair from WD & PRD. This will require coordination with HMAs. A HMA will meet you out front of your work location from 9:00 – 11:00 am Wednesday – Thursday of this week and help you load the chair in the back of your vehicle. Once you arrive home, please use caution lifting your chair due to its awkward nature and somewhat heavy properties.
Option 2: If you need your chair but are unable to collect it, we can make arrangements for delivery to your home. The courier will call and let you know the chair has been delivered outside your door but will not enter your personal residence.
