Rocky Ford to Dover 115 kV Transmission Line
Overview: The Rocky Ford to Dover 115kV Transmission line project will provide enhanced transmission reliability to Grant PUD customers throughout the county. The line will run from Grant PUD’s Rocky Ford Substation to the Dover Substation located in Moses Lake.
The line will run approximately 8 miles along the north side of State Road 17 and will include single pole structures throughout the new route.
Benefits: Expanded distribution for customers along the route, improved reliability for customers, supports increased demand for electricity, and limited impacts to fish and wildlife compared to other alternative routes.
Schedule:
Construction start: 2016
Project completion: Spring 2017
Cost: $8 million (estimated)
