Work began on Oct. 17 and is expected to continue through June 2017. This phase of the project includes development of a new day-use park and trail and marina area off-island, and a new campground and day-use park on island.

Other projects occurring over the next two years include renovation of the on-island boat launch/parking area and new wastewater and water systems.

Central Washington Management Group is operating the Crescent Bar Recreation Area under agreement with Grant PUD through December 31, 2017. If you have questions about recreation on the island, call Central Washington Management Group at (509) 754-5002.

The off-island boat launch reopened on May 26, 2017. The on-island boat launch (just east of the on-island condominiums) and parking area will be open and available to the public until construction in that area begins in fall 2017.

There is no charge for parking. However, overnight parking is not allowed in the day-use areas.

The golf course will remain open to the public during construction, but there will be limited parking. If you have specific questions about the golf course, call Central Washington Management Group at (509) 754-5002.

The current campground in the off-island area is now permanently closed. A new campground is being constructed at the north end of Crescent Bar Island, which is anticipated to be completed by June 2017. Water and sewer hookups to the new campground sites will not be available until summer 2018, but the sites will have full electrical hookups. There will be no dump station available in 2017.
