PRIEST RAPIDS RECREATION AREA CAMPGROUND

The Priest Rapids Recreation Area (PRRA) includes a boat launch, campground, shoreline trail and swimming area. The PRRA campground is open year round.

The Priest Rapids Recreation Area Campground is located on the Columbia River in Grant County, along the shoreline adjacent to the community of Desert Aire. It is approximately 22 miles south of I-90 on Highway 243 at 302 Desert Aire Drive SW, Mattawa WA 99349. Google Map

Amenities include:

  • Day-use picnic areas
  • 14 camping sites with irrigated lawn
  • Vault toilets
  • Swimming beach
  • Shoreline trail
  • Boat launch

Operating Season & Hours:

  • Boat Launch: open year round dawn to dusk
  • Trailheads: open 6 am to 8 pm daily
  • Campground: open year round

Fees: There is no fee for boat launch or day-use activities. Camping is $15 per night fee (tax included).   Reservations are encouraged May - September. Unreserved sites may be available on a drop-in basis and drop in camping is only available on a nignt by night basis from May - September.  A payment box is provided on site.  Refunds are not available.

A Temporary Use Permit may be needed for private activities involving more than routine use of the area.

SAND HOLLOW CAMPGROUND

The Sand Hollow Recreation Area includes 40 campsites and a day-use swimming area.
Trailers are not allowed at this area. (No tent trailers, utility
trailers, camping trailers, boat trailers, etc.)  One vehicle is allowed per campsite.

The Sand Hollow Campground is located on the Columbia River in Grant
County. It is just south of I-90 off Highway 243 at 11094 Hwy 243 S,

Day-use picnic areas
10 walk-in camping sites with fire pits/barbecue grills
30 vehicle access camping sites with fire pits/barbecue grills
Vault toilets
Swimming beach

  • Day-Use Areas: open year round dawn to dusk
  • Campground: Open year round

The Rocky Coulee Campground is located on the Columbia River in
Kittitas County. It is at the end of Recreation Drive just north of the

Day-Use Areas: Open year-round dawn to dusk
Campground: Open year round

JACKSON CREEK FISH CAMP

Just, two-miles south of Priest Rapids Dam, this campground has a short, primitive trail and dispersed camping sites. Jackson Creek Fish Camp is located on the Columbia River in Grant County. It is approximately 26 miles south of I-90 on Highway 243 at 30996 Hwy 243 S, Mattawa WA 99349.
